A while back I mentioned having to stay at my parents for an extra day after Thanksgiving for a "top secret special ops mission". Well what it was, was that we "sneak attacked" my dad and took him to the Doctor to get him to try to quit smoking! He finally grudgingly agreed to go and the Doc prescribed him CHANTIX. So he has been taking it since then. He had been trying to cut back, but he's been smoking for about 57 years (for real)! He was probably at least a 3 pack (or more) a day smoker for many, many years! Well, mom told me today that yesterday he only smoked 15 cigarettes, which is 3/4 of a pack!!! How Awesome is that?!
We sure are proud of him for trying! Every time we have prayers with the girls, if whoever is saying it forgets to "bless Pawpaw not to smoke anymore", the girls make us say a second one just to make sure he's covered! We are all so excited! Way to go Dad! Keep up the good work Pawpaw! You're making us so proud!
