Last Thursday it started sleeting. John was able to make it home safely from work and then the rest of the weekend was just play, play, play!
Friday, of course they closed all the schools, it just snowed and snowed all day!

The girls played in the snow for a while and then John took them to meet the Terrells at our favorite sledding spot while Rain and I stayed home.
It was a little too cold and windy for her sweet cheeks!
Later on that night John, Jeremy and Johnny took off on a midnight romp on their 4-wheelers. They played all over town and even helped get one of the sand trucks un-stuck! John had a blast! Ah Boys! The next day was a beautiful sunny day-Perfect for playing in the snow!
This time we all headed out to the sledding spot.
After everyone was done we headed over to Johns parents to put our clothes in their dryer and warm up a little. We took the girls out to dinner and then went back to get our clothes back on for round two! We met the Terrells and Bobby Lorimar back at the hill at about 8:30 for some night sledding!
By this time it was iced over!!! Much less people, but MUCH more slick! Also, all of our sleds broke! They just all of a sudden started to shatter! John went down on one with Lake and by the time they reached the bottom, the only part left under him was one "cheeks" worth of plastic! We came home with a trunk full of plastic shards! But let me tell you-we used every last little piece until they couldn't be used anymore! Summer and Jayden came down the big hill, hit a ramp and crashed hard. Then a few minutes later Lake busted her face on the ice when she got taken out by Jillian on a saucer!
Summers face about sums up the experience of the night. All in all it was fun though!
She was happy until she fell face first into the snow while I was trying to get her picture! Thanks Mom!
School was closed for two more days after that! Finally on Wednesday Lake went back to school. It was a fun little vacation and we were all glad that John got to be home the whole weekend with us! Fun! Fun! Fun!
