Friday was Rock Star Day-She just wore a western type shirt, jean skirt and boots and went as Miley Cyrus-which every other kindergarten girl did also. If they weren't Miley they were Hannah Montana.
But Thursday was the Big Day! It was their 50th Day of School Celebration! So everyone came dressed like they did in the 50's. I knew this day was coming so I talked to Grammy about making Lake a skirt. Lakes favorite color is green, so Grammy made her a beautiful green skirt! She loved it! Thanks Grammy!
I couldn't find a poodle to put on it, because all the stores were out of them (everyone else was having their 50's day too)! But I found a cool kitty with green eyes and Lake loved it! She looked so cute in her outfit!
John volunteers at the school on Thursdays so he dressed up too! What a good sport my man is! I found him a "Greaser" wig, but it didn't quite look the same ON as it did on the package. A little less like Fonzie and a little more like Don King. But he wore it and didn't think a thing of it! You just really can't embarrass my hubby!
They did the Limbo at the...
Sock Hop!
Lake thought it was so cool to twirl around in her skirt. I checked and double checked to make sure the kid was wearing underwear that day (she's not a big underwear fan and sometimes she sneaks out without it). Then I finally made her put some shorts on under her skirt just to make sure!

She had a great day! I'm so glad John gets to volunteer at her school. I'm so busy with Summers school and the little ones that it would be hard for me to do much, but this way he gets to be there and see her during the week. I know she will have great memories of her Daddy coming to her school!
