Summer had another homeschool field trip to a nearby Archaeological park. They were having their Sawmill Days.
Grammy and Grandpa even got to come with us! The kids learned what life was like in the early 1900's in this area. It was very interesting and educational for us adults too!
They learned about and played a game of baseball-boys against girls!
Girls won! Not to brag but my girls can sure slap a ball! They each got home runs!
Everyone got a chance to try the cross cut saw. Even John and I did it, while Rain slept in the Moby! Everyone laughed to see me sawing and the baby sleeping on my chest! But I'm sure plenty of women did that back in the day! Women always have been multi-taskers!
We learned about what the schools were like back then in a One Room Schoolhouse. The girl who played the teacher was a great story teller!
Sky just passed out before we got into the school house, so Daddy just left her on the "lunch table" to sleep it off! Grammy stayed in there with her after it was over and all the kids went outside.
At the end of the day, they had an Old Fashioned Carnival for us! There were carnival games and yummy kettle corn!

After everyone else left we and Grammy and Grandpa went back into the museum part and watched the movie-while enjoying the A/C! Dad and the girls had fun trying on and playing with the old swords and armor! It was a fun educational day!
