Hello to all my fans!
I just thought I would sum up my first month on Earth with you all! It's been a crazy time with lot's of new things to see, hear, touch, smell and eat! I've been getting used to life "on the outside". I like it pretty well so far. I get tummy aches pretty often so I like to be held upright and I make sure that everyone else in the house is alerted that I'm NOT happy!...
...Just in case they were wondering. I have a queen size pillow top bed that I sleep in most nights. I let Mom and Dad sleep in it too, because I like to snuggle. Sometimes a sister or two will even come join us! I love to EAT...I mean I REALLY LOVE TO EAT! My umbilical cord stump FINALLY fell off! I was pretty happy, because I wasn't a fan of my sponge baths. I also didn't like my belly button getting rubbed with alcohol every time I had a diaper change. After it fell off I got to take my first shower with Mom!
It was awesome! I loved the warm water and being up close with Mommy.
When the water pours over my head I just close my little eyes and RELAX! See those lines running down my side...those aren't RIBS!
I relaxed so much that I fell asleep! It was great!****************
My sisters are pretty funny!
They fight over who gets to hold me...
...and who held me the longest!
I usually only want to be held by my Mom though. I will let other people hold me for a little bit, but I always want to go back to Mom. It was a good thing that Nana came and stayed with us for a long time, because then Mom could hold me ALL THE TIME! Now that Nana left Mom still holds me a lot, but now I have to wait for a little bit until Mom can get to me. Mom's getting better though. She's remembering how to do things with one hand. She's really pretty amazing! She can wash her hair and shower herself all with one hand while holding me in the warm water with the other arm. It's pretty awesome! Even though I usually want Mommy...
I love to sleep on Daddy's chest.
If I'm asleep that's where I like to be!
He sure is comfy!

I guess I have RED HAIR! I haven't checked myself out in the mirror yet, but Mom keeps saying "Oh Boy! Just what our crazy family needs...A fiery, hot headed, Red Head!". I'm glad their so excited about me and I'm glad that I could fill that need! When I get upset my whole head turns RED! Mom's says it might be from all the Corned Beef that she ate around St. Patrick's Day, or the Celtic Christmas CD that they listened to for months. Either way, It will be interesting to see if it stays red! What do you think? Does it look red to you?
Mom says that the sun makes it look really RED! Right now my eyes are BLUE! Mom and Dad said that all of my big sisters eyes were blue before they turned brown and hazel.
But they say that mine look a little different so maybe I'll keep the blue eyes! Who knows!

I had my 1 month check up today! The doctor just went on and on about how great I am! He said something about gaining 2 pounds in 3 weeks or something like that. He was pretty impressed with how well I hold my head up and look around. After talking to Mommy for a while he said that I probably have a little Colic. He told her about some medicine that she could get for me or just keep rocking and holding me all day long. I'm glad I've got a Mommy that likes to hold me. He said that babies that are nurtured out of their Colic usually come through it quicker. Good thing that my big sisters can take care of lot's of stuff for Mommy so she can cuddle with me all day long!

I love my new Moby Wrap!!!
Mom says it's "Ambien" for babies! As soon as I get comfy in it I fall fast asleep! I am very happy to be squeezed tight up against Mommy's chest. It almost feels like life "on the inside". Well that's about it for my first month. I love my big, crazy, loud family! I am adjusting to my new world! I'm excited to be at the beginning of my lifes journey! Ta Ta for now! - Ivy Rain
