Cool Cousins

We got home from the farm on Sunday after church. Monday was filled with house cleaning, laundry-the regular post vacation recovery. At midnight my cell phone rang and it was my mom. She told me that my cousin Rick and his family, from California, just got to their house and they could only stay until Tuesday afternoon! So EARLY Tuesday morning I plucked the kids out of bed, threw them in the van, and headed back up to the farm! I'm so glad we did! We had a great visit with them. I had never met Teresa or their kids Rick and Julia. We had a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. It's not everyday that my kids get to be around cousins, especially cousins that are their age! Summer and Julia look so much alike! It was almost confusing! They have the same hair style and color, same skin color, same build-everything! They really hit it off and had a great time! To keep the kids busy we took them to the creek that runs through our family farm.

It was super hot and muggy, then a cool rain cloud blew through and made things bearable!

We had a great, rushed visit! I love getting to be with my family! We hope they will come back again soon and stay longer!
