On Christmas Eve we went out to eat for breakfast with the Terrells! We have been going out for Christmas Eve breakfast together for years! It take a whole team to wait on our families! Then the girls and I had to finish up some last minute shopping while John went home to sleep. Then we delivered our cookies to our friends and neighbors!
The girls always have fun doing this!
Then I dropped off a sleeping Sky at Grammy's house, so I could take Summer and Lake to see Alvin and the Chipmunks! It was cute! My girls liked it, but they have such a hard time sitting still and quiet for that long! That's why we don't go to the movies very often!
After the movie, we headed home to wake up John and go to Grammy and Grandpa's for Christmas Eve dinner! We ate, visited, played a game, and brought home 3 sleepy girls!
I got an Advent Calender this year. It really cut down on the "When is it going to be Christmas?" question that I hear several times a day! Each night the girls would have to tell one nice thing that they did for someone that day, before they could open the door and get their treat! They were always excited to see what the treat would be! Especially on day 25!
Santa is always good to us!
Christmas morning Summer woke up at about 6:30 and couldn't help but wake up Lake! But, Nana and Pawpaw were on their way and Sky was still asleep, so we couldn't start until everyone was awake and accounted for! The festivities began at about 8:00am
3 Very Excited Girls!
"It's just what I wanted!"
"Am I doing this right?"
"The Aftermath"
As always, the boxes are more fun than the toys inside!
The girls dressed (I mean dressed up) for breakfast! We had blueberry french toast and orange juice! It was yummy!
The rest of the morning was filled with cooking, freeing toys from boxes, and breaking up fights over all the new toys! Mike and Alyssa and Grammy and Grandpa came for dinner in the afternoon! We had a wonderful meal and a good visit with everyone! John finally had to excuse himself to head off to bed (he has to work tonight...THAT SUCKS!) All the grandparents stayed until it started to get dark and then everyone headed for home! It was a great day! We are very blessed! Blessed to have healthy children, blessed to have more food than we need, blessed to have a nice home to share our holidays and truly blessed to live near family so that our children can grow up with so many people around that care about them! We are thankful for our Savior, Jesus Christ, whose birth we celebrate! We Hope your Christmas was Wonderful! Merry Christmas!
