Fun at the Farm!

Last week we headed up to Nana and Pawpaw's for a little vacation! John got a new gun for Christmas (early), so he did a little bit of playing with that! Sky wasn't feeling too good, so it was a good time to be there. I did a lot of rocking! The first thing we did was make a gingerbread house!

The girls were so excited to make it!

They would not let us rest until it was DONE!

Then they wouldn't let us rest until it was GONE! They were bugging us so much that we finally just cut the thing in half and sent them outside to give themselves tummy aches! The poor little house only lasted about 15 hours! Maybe a little "self control" would be a good New Years resolution for my girls!

On Wednesday we went to Nana's Church Christmas party! Nana and Summer did a song together! Nana played the guitar while Summer sang "Little Lord Jesus". They did a great job! Then Nana and all of the primary kids sang "Here comes Santa Clause" to welcome in Santa! Everybody had a great time!

On Thursday we made cookies to give away to friends and neighbors! The on Friday we headed to Silver Dollar City for the Festival of Lights! I FORGOT MY CAMERA! I'm so bummed! It was a beautiful day! We were excited to have Nana come with us! It sure is nice to have the extra help! Nana hung out with Sky so John and I could take the girls on all the rides! The park is covered in lights! They say it's over 4 million lights, but I think that sounds way too low! EVERYTHING is covered in lights! Christmas music and the smell of Hot Chocolate is floating through the air! It is a very Magical place at Christmas time! We had a good time! We got our traditional taffy and kettle corn and also picked up our season passes for next year! We sure do love it up there!

On Saturday, we had a "Christmas Morning" at the Farm.

Nana Clause and Papa Clause treated the girls to some fun early presents!

Pawpaw got a Rubik's Cube-to keep his hands busy! And I made him and the rest of my family a DVD with a bunch of their old pictures!

Mom couldn't figure out what the little cardboard slips of paper were all about..."Admit One?"..."January 31st"..."Brad Paisley?"

"ARE WE GOING TO A BRAD PAISLEY CONCERT?"..."Ya-HOO"!

Later in the afternoon the rest of the family came over for an early Christmas dinner! The girls piggy banks got a little fatter and we had a great meal! Then sadly we packed up and headed home! Thanks for a great week Nana and Pawpaw! It sure is nice to get away!
