Lakes First Day of Kindergarten!

Lake started Kindergarten last Thursday! What a big, EXCITED, girl she is! She was so brave and couldn't wait to go!

On her first day they started 30 minutes late so the parents wouldn't be fighting the traffic while driving them to school. I made John go with me this time. I had to take Summer by myself for her first day of school and I ended up backing into a telephone pole. I was a little emotional! This time I had John drive!

When we took her into the school, they made us say goodbye in the main hallway and then had escorts to take them to their classrooms. I was glad that John was there. Lake hugged him, then hugged me , then hugged him again and walked off to her classroom. I was glad she didn't turn back to hug me again because I was starting to lose it! She was so brave and we are so proud of her!

She loves her teacher and has had fun seeing some of her preschool friends again. It's all so fun and new! When she gets home she's pretty tired and just wants to hold her baby sister, play and watch TV. I'm glad she's having fun and enjoying her experiences, but I still can't wait to bring her home to teach her myself when she gets older. They just grow up so fast! Congratulations to our newest Kindergartner!
