Happy Memorial Day!

Hooray for Homecoming! Each year the little town that my parents live in has their "Homecoming". It is 2 days of festivals, rodeos, class reunions, family reunions, street dances, car shows, and of course, the parade!
This is the Stephens Float! Summer is too cool for the wagon so she walks and hula-hoops down the street!

Sky and Lake riding the Choo-Choo Train! Summer was off running around with her cousin Lindsey! They had a pretty good Scam going. Summer would buy stuff for Lindsey and then they would go to my cousin Cory (Lindsey's Dad) and tell him that he owed Summer money for buying Lindsey's goodies! Sneaky little boogers!

Lake and Sky were playing a carnival game. The lady was "helping" them so they would get the biggest prizes! Lake picked a huge hammer that says "Angel" on it, and Sky picked a pitchfork that says "Princess" on it. John and I laughed about the irony of OUR kids picking an Angel Hammer and Princess Pitchfork! It just seems fitting! Here comes the Kiddie Parade! What CUTIES!

Good Ol' Daddy pulling the wagon! Next year Lake will be booted out of the wagon to make room for the new baby sister! She will have to hula-hoop like Summer! Hula! Hula! Hula-Hoop Summer!

Next comes the BIG PARADE! The girls LOVE scrambling for candy!

Sky wasn't too impressed by the loud horns and sirens! This is how she stayed for most of the parade! Until the horse's came by. She liked the horses! They weren't nearly as loud!
Candy! Candy! Mine! Mine!

I think the fire department was throwing out these "Top Gun" sunglasses that Lake happened to snag! Cool Huh!
Staying cool while sampling the loot!

We LOVE Memorial Day Weekend!

Hey Cuz! Your mom put the link to your blogspot in my Christmas card, so I check in on you every now and then! Your girls are beautiful! Congrats on #4!! Just wanted to let you know if you ever want one those "Flint" coneys, just let me know! There's a little restaurant right by my house that uses only the "Flint" sauce. It's helped my husnad and I keep on the "middle age" bulge!
My email address is erin.shafer@yahoo.com, send me your home address, so we can at least keep the yearly contact with Christmas cards ;) Your Uncle Rusty came to my house for Easter dinner, he's my husband's favorite relative of mine! Take care...
Your long lost Michigan cuz!
