Today was Lake first check up with the orthopedist. She was pretty excited! She had been counting down for the last week! She didn't even use her walker going into the office, she just hobbled like Igor. She got lot's of chuckles and smiles from all the other patients and nurses in the building.
On the way to the office she said: "Mom, make sure they take an X-ray! Do they know that I'm coming? Make sure you tell them why I'm here!". She wanted to make sure they were on their toes!
The cut off her big cast! It was pretty cool! It was this circular saw which made me nervous. But they said that it just vibrates, it doesn't spin. Lake was VERY brave and she said it tickled a little! Her little leg had shrunk some, but not too bad.
This is the newest X-ray. The Doc said that it is healing well and that the bone is starting to mend, but it still looks pretty cracked to me. But I guess he probably knows a little more about it than I do. They put a short fiberglass cast on her this time and Lake picked hot pink! So when we got home we got out the craft box and gave it a little make-over!
