It's Never Too Early For Christmas Cheer!

Last weekend we made one LAST trip to Silver Dollar City! It was their "An Old Time Cristmas" festival. We wanted to go before it got really crowded and too cold. Well, we were HALF right! It wasn't crowded at all, but we FROZE our butt's off! It was so cold that a lot of the rides were shut down, which was kind of a bummer, but we got to go to all the shows and look through all the shops.
DAY 1
Don't they look warm and cozy?!As always, Sky and Nana are quite a team while we are on our vacations. Nana and Sky tried to make it from one warm spot to the next!
The entire park is covered in more that 4 million lights! It is just BEAUTIFUL! Pictures just do not capture how AWESOME it is!Lake and Daddy walking up the hill from the candy shop!

One of the shows that we saw was "A Christmas Carol". It was so great! They did such a good job! The music was wonderful, the set was great, and the special effects were amazing, for such a small production! I love that my girls get to see these kind of things so often!
We had to go see the lighting of the 5 story Christmas tree! They have beautiful music playing and the tree changes colors, and twinkles to the beat of the music. And it's not just the big tree, it's all the trees around it. The trees and shrubs are all different colors and just flashing to the music. It is just MAGICAL!

"Hello Mr. Nutcracker!"Again, pictures just don't do it justice!

At Kringle's Crossing, the girls made and mailed there wish list to Santa. Here's Daddy helping Sky with her list!
It was also a nice place to warm up!

And, of course, to talk to Santa himself! Lake and Sky were much more brave this year! Santa talked to the girls for a long time. He asked them about what they wanted and told them that as long as they stayed good that they would still be on the "Nice List" when Christmas got here! We've got our fingers crossed!

Another warm place was the Saloon show! They have a Christmas show that they call the "FA-La-La-La-Follies!" It's corny jokes and silly songs, but always real cute! We also found out about something-SNOWBALLS! The Saloon usually sells root beer floats, but since it was Christmas time they had Snowballs. It's hot chocolate with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream in it! Talk about yummy! We may or may not have made several of these yummy drinks since we've been home!

There's something about John and Summer-they always get picked out of an audience to be in the show!

I hope the FAME doesn't go to John's head!

DAY 2
Before heading out to the parks we headed to Cracker Barrel to eat a nice, BIG, warm breakfast!
What do WE do while waiting for our food? - Take Pictures!

Summer LOVES her Nanny!

Mom and Sky say: "HOORAY for Hat Hair!"

John Stephens version 1.0 and 2.0!

We saw the "Frosty the Snowman" show. It was a show for kids. They invited all the kids onto the stage to watch and sing along! In the show the two people build a snowman out of these, what looked like, furry white bean bags. Then they decorated them to make it look like a snowman, then IT CAME TO LIFE! It was so crazy! His head started turning, his mouth started moving-I was so surprised! Later in the evening we were talking about how it could have worked. As we were discussing all the technical conclusions we had, Lake dryly said "It was just Magic." Which we all agreed!
While walking through the park some people came up to my mom. It was her cousin, that she had never met! Mom had met his wife before, but had never met him before! His wife said that as they were walking he said "That woman looks familiar." Then when his wife saw who he was looking at she said, "She's Your COUSIN!" So it was very cool to meet them! My Mom's grandfather and his grandfather were brothers! Small world!

When it got dark we watched the parade...twice! Summer and Laked got hugged and Hi-Fived by snowmen, gingerbread, elves and even Barbie herself!

We got some more Hot Chocolate and headed to the musical Nativity show. It was pretty good!

The we went and rode the Silver Dollar Express! It was C-C-C-Cold! But we traveled through the beautifully lighted park and through the beautifully lit woods!

It was cold, but we had a magical time! We are now, totally Filled with Christmas Cheer!
