Vacation Day 1

It wouldn't be MY birthday month if we didn't take a trip to our favorite little getaway spot-Branson! We started our trip at Silver Dollar City. They were having their Festival of American Music and Crafts. They put so much into their festivals that every time you go to these parks there is always new cool stuff to see! The lines for the rides were short, so we got to have lots of fun!

Waiting in line for the Powder Keg! Lake and Summer have to always sit in the very back or the very front of the coaster-arms up all the way! The middle of the train is for wimps!

The Fall colors were just beautiful! We couldn't resist making the girls pose for a couple of Glamor Shots!

They had all kinds of different crafters and skilled people showing their talents. There was a Blacksmith, Woodworkers, Candy Makers, Leather Workers, Basket Makers, Quilters...every kind of old fashioned craft you could think of!

This was pretty amazing...This sculpture was made out of Butter! We were watching the man sculpting it. He had these huge blocks of butter and a Spackle trough. This was a life size sculpture. The cow really was the size of a real cow!!! It was pretty cool! We looked at it for a while and then we were getting ready to leave, Lake pointed to it and said "There's my name!" We looked and looked trying to figure it out and then we noticed "Land O' Lake" carved into the farmers cap! She's so observant!

We met Nana and Sky for the show at the end of the night. We munched on popcorn...

and blew, and Blew, and BLEW, until...

...the hot cocoa was cool enough to drink!

Then we all snuggled up to stay warm!

We snuggled so much...

that Sky fell asleep!

The show was great and the girls were nice and tired by the time we left!
