Daddy made the rule that the girls didn't need to get their ears pierced until they were 8 years old. I thought that sounded pretty reasonable. So Summer is now 8 and a half and she decided she was ready to do it. It cost $40 bucks! Sheesh! So we made Summer save up half of the money for it. She gets $5 dollars a week for doing chores around the house. She did not spend a dime! We made sure they had two people there so they could do both ears at the same time. She was very brave, but VERY NERVOUS! I thought the kid was going to have a heart attack sitting in the chair as they "prepped" her for piercing! They told her they would do it on the count of three. "One..Two/SNAP!" They did it on "Two"! She didn't even know that they had done it! She was so proud to have made it through without TOTALLY LOSING IT! She looks so "Girly" with her sparkly ears!

Summer is Growing Up!

Awww, Summer looks beautiful! I remember Sister Pulver taking me to get my ears pierced when I was 8! Tell Summer hi for me, and that Anna fell asleep on me at General Conference like she did at church 2 Sundays ago...and she said that she did NOT miss Summer and I picking on her!
