What a Cheesy Date!

John and I finally got to have our Valentines Date! YEAH! I sent John on a scavenger hunt! He dropped off the girls at his parents house and then read the first clue. He was to go to Lazzaris and pick up Mista salad and bread. When he got home there were 8 more clues of things to go find around the house. They were "Cheesy" valentine gifts or stuff to go along with our dinner. I had made 3 Cheese Manocotti and we had Cheesecake w/raspberry sauce for desert. At the time I didn't really realize that I had a "Cheese" theme going. So we had a nice, quiet dinner together and then went to a "Cheesy" movie, Fools Gold! It was cute, we both enjoyed it! It was nice to FINALLY get our date. With John's crazy work schedule, family time (much less couple time) gets stretched pretty thin. We try to make the most of the time that we have together. We're always glad when Daddy's home (and awake!) On Saturday we had such nice weather! We stayed outside most of the day working/playing in the yard. John burned a bunch of leaves and a few firecrackers. Our poor neighbors! Thank goodness this month is Spring Break! Our vacation season begins!

What a fun date. So creative.

If it makes you feel any better. Luke and I have yet to do anything for Valentines. He's been knee deep in training for the last month. Your date gives me hope. Maybe some day we'll get our date in. :)

Husband's crazy schedules can make you have to be creative with your time can't they?!
