Snow Day!

On Friday, Summer got out of school at 10am because it was starting to snow! Finally! A SNOW DAY! We had to wait 'till March to get some snow! I took the girls and we rented movies, got Burger King for lunch and we had a picnic in the living room so we could watch it snow! Then it was time to play! I must say, I'm not a fan of snow. John and the girls love it, but it's no big deal to me. It's cold and wet, and produces a lot of laundry and extra work for me. It's hard enough for me to get my kids to wear shoes and coats, much less snow gear!

On Saturday we headed over to this church that has a great sledding hill. We met the Haskins and Terrells there. The kids had a blast sledding. It was my kids first time sledding! We sledded until the snow was gone and everyone was covered in MUD! AAHHH, sledding in Arkansas!

When we got there, Lake went down the hill first! She had no idea what she was doing. John was at the bottom of the hill to catch her. I stuck her in the sled and gave her a shove and she went flying down the hill! Poor oblivious child! She had no idea! She did good though! John asked her if it was fun and she said "Daddy, it was a little scary, but fun!"

Summer had a great time until she fell off in the mud. That pretty much ended the day for her! It was fun to get together with our friends and enjoy our 1 day of snow!
