Thanksgiving Festivities!

On Thanksgiving day we went to John's parents for the big family dinner! In attendance was Us, Bob and Mell (Johns parents), Granny and Grandaddy (Mells parents), Johns Aunt Jady (Mells sister), Mike and Alyssa (Johns brother and his wife), and Ben and Kade (Johns sister and husband). We ate a great meal and hung out until John needed to go home and get some sleep for work. I forgot to take my camera that day, so I don't have any pictures! Maybe next year I'll remember! So we took John home and then the girls and I headed up to the farm to have Thanksgiving dinner on Friday! It's pretty awesome when all of your family is retired and they can all work around your schedule! Mom cooked a wonderful meal-of coarse! I ate leftovers all weekend long (breakfast and lunch). Mom made Lake and Sky birthday treats for after dinner. They were cake baked inside an ice cream cone and then ice cream on top! The girls thought they were really cool! Thanks Nana!

This is when Sky knocked down the "lit" candle ice cream cone! Don't worry-we were able to relight it!

Notice the "cash" in front of them? My girls seem to be accumulating more and more of this stuff the longer they are around their Great Aunts and Uncles! And so far I haven't heard one complaint! They learn so young!

The girls pretty much spent the rest of the weekend in their usual farm attire-P.J's. Except for their daily walk around the farm with Nana! We don't have The Disney Channel or Nickelodeon at our house, but Nana has , like...seven! So the girls get to catch up on all of those annoying shows that I blissfully get to do without! I always tease my Dad that I knew he just couldn't wait for us to get there, so he can watch SPONGEBOB! Who needs CNN anyway!

We even did a little painting in Nana's bedroom. This is the before, but I didn't take a pic of the after! We color washed over the green. We didn't get all the way finished while I was there, but Mom did it after we left! We went to church with Mom on Sunday and then we stayed one more night. Summer missed school on Monday. We had a "TOP SECRET, SPECIAL OPERATIONS DUTY" to perform on Monday...I'll write more about that one later!
